My First Ever Laser Hair Removal Treatment

A couple months ago, I bought a Goupon for six laser hair removal treatments(underarms) from Skin Spa for just $179. It was such a good deal that i couldn't resist myself from not buying it. Comparing to the amount my friend Ruby paid in a VERY high class spa center for the exact same treatment, $179 is only around 20% of what she paid. I'm not a person that needs everything in high quality and high class so im totally okay with $179.

I wanted to do it months ago because the thing about laser hair removal treatment is that i can't do one treatment right after another. I need to wait at least four weeks before doing another treatment. So it will take 24 months to complete all six treatments >.> 6 months!!!!! but I had been soooo lazy that i didn't even bother picking up my phone and call for an appointment. >.< But finally yesterday, while i was doing nothing but just sitting in my room, decided to make an appointment for today at 11:30am. =.= *Sigh* I really should've done it months ago, if only i wasn't so busy with school work >.< (<=====EXCUSE!!)

So back to my first treatment:

Skin Spa has 5 locations in NYC and the one i went to is in SoHo. It was actually my first time going to a spa center i think. It smelled so nice in there and everything looked super white and clean, just like how i would imagine what a spa center looks like.

The  beautiful receptionist gave me 3 forms to fill out and as soon as i turned in the forms, my specialist was already waiting next to the counter for me. She took me into a room with machines and a bed.

Okay, i hate writing down every step so I'll just tell you how i felt about it.

I DON"T WANT TO DO IT AGAIN!!! IT HURT SOOOOO MUCH!!!

Imagine a lady pinching your armpits with needles!!! It was exactly how that would feel!!! I almost fainted out when the specialist told me that she had the laser's setting at the lowest because it was my first time. She will increase the laser setting as treatment continues on. Oh God.

Even though it was just around 30 seconds for each armpit but....30 seconds felt soooo long when it felt like my armpits were being pinched with needles T____T

Conclusion: 美丽是要付出代价的 There's a price to pay for beauty.

My friend Tina (I refer her as an expert in cosmetic and skin care) gave me three masks to try XD:

Tips from Tina:
As for the sheet's thickness, FaceQ(绝世美肌) is the thinnest comparing to My Beauty Dairy and My Scheming(我的心机)。 The prices for all three brands are about the same btw. Tina also told me not to buy the one on the left because it's soooo sticky. but she gave it to me to try just so i know what it will be like. Thanks Tina.

Product Review: Habadisei Facial Mask Variety Pack

My friend Ruby has been telling me that Hadabisei Facial Mask's very good and she found a pharmacy where they sell a variety pack for just $16.5!! Yesterday, i finally got some time to go to Chinatown and bought this:
I paid $17.96 (tax included). The price for a 5 pieces pack of one mask is around $15. This variety pack is sooooooooo much cheaper and you get to try on every kind of mask they have XD
This variety pack included: 1 3D(aging care Hydration), 2 Super Moist, 2 Clear, 2 Firming, 2 Tightening, and 2 GABA masks.
I tried the Clear mask and i found something that i don't like about the mask. In terms of the sheet's thickness, it's thinner than My Beauty Diary. When i use My Beauty Diary i always have a lot of essence left to put on my neck and areas below my neck. However, for Hadabisei mask, after i took out the mask from the bag there was no essence left anymore >.< and this is something i don't like. but overall i'll give this 7/10. If i had to choose between My Beauty Diary and Hadabisei, I would choose My Beauty Diary because it's cheaper and my skin didn't show a huge difference after i used a Hadabisei mask.
and last~ a picture of myself~ totally looooooooooove my camera's beauty skin effect <3
p.s. sorry for the messy room >.<

Product Review: Mentholatum Sunplay Skin Aqua Silky BB Cream

I saw this BB cream on a Japanese magazine and I have been wanting to try it. The price Sasa.com is $17.60 but i got it on Ebay for $12.99. It comes in two versions: silky and moisture.
I bought the silky version cuz it was the only one available.

It says this BB cream has 6 functions: control oil, conceal, whitening, moisturize, anti-aging, and foundation.
the size is small compare to what i have been using (Missah Watery BB cream).
I have very tan skin so it looks too white with my skin and that i don't like it. but i haven't tried it on my face so i can't judge right now cuz my face's a bit whiter.

Updates on 7/1/2012:
I have been using this for weeks now. It gives a very smooth texture to your face and its conceal function works well in concealing my genetic brown spots (although it cannot completely makes my brown spots invisible but it's the best for all the BB cream i've tried so far).

In terms of its six functions:
Control oil (7/10): i guess it does control oil because my face seems less oily during mid-day (i usually need to use 2 blotting papers during mid-day but after using this BB cream i only need to use less than 1.

Whitening (10/10): it does brighten my skin since i have very dull and tan skin. It's also one of the cons because it's literally too white for my skin. My neck and face would have two different skin tones if i only use this BB cream for my face.

Moisturize (8/10): It stays sticky through out the day if you don't apply loose powder after this BB cream. the other BB cream ive had used tends to show dryness around my mouth, forehead, and nose. although this BB cream does show that too but it's less visible. it's only possible to see if someone comes up close.

Anti-aging(?/10): not sure if this works because i'm still very young.

Foundation (9/10): Conceal and foundation, it does the job. It conceals around more than 75% of my brown spots and acne marks.

CONS: 1) too white for my skin tone (i have a skin tone of a Filipino). 2) I dont' like applying loose powder but if i don't, my face will get sticky all day after using this BB cream.

Will i buy this again: hmmmmmmmmm.....yea....it has lots of function for just $12.99, why not?

Updates on 7/8/2012:
AWWWWWW T_T so ive been doing it the wrong way! no wonder why my face appears so dry after applying this BB cream.
this is what i usually do: toner, lotion, sun screen, and BB cream
it's summer right now so i usually apply another sun screen even though this BB cream already has a SPF 27 PA++. However, i recently found out that if i apply another layer of sun screen before BB cream, my face will appear dryer and look like i have a lot of powder on.
Today, i tested it out without sun screen. My face looked moisturized and healthy. XD I absolutely had no dryness area on my face. i also looked like i have perfect skin!
so this is what i will be doing from now on: toner, lotion, and BB cream XD

btw the sun screen i'm using is

SCINIC

Perfect Sun Cream SPF50+/PA+++
