Is Rose Garden Tea House Good? Alice went to a tea party!

Yesterday i went to Rose Garden tea house in Flushing, NY. It's just right next to Paris Baguette inside a small mall. i was surprised of how elegant it looked. So LADY~! So ELEGANT and ROYAL! I have been to tea houses before but this is the best looking one so far. I was told that they make all their teas/ tea leaves themselves! It's definitely one of the places you would want to visit while in NYC.

Can you believe that they have 50 locations worldwide?!

I was told by one waitress that no photo is allowed in there but i secretly took a few. >.<
First step into the tea house you will see a lot of tea boxes, plates, pots, and cups. there are waiting chairs for people to sit on and try their new tea product. The whole tea house smelled like rose XD

 fake fireplace^^

There are two menus: tea menu and food menu. I think they have more than 50 kinds of tea! they also serve coffee and other beverages as well. you can either choose to order a set menu or individual tea/food/cake. All beverages are $9 or above.

Cappuccino & Rose Latte

Waffle with fresh fruits. The portion is quite large. i recommend to share between two. Please be aware that not all food come with beverages.
This is the chef's daily special scone (comes with fresh fruit). It comes with one (any) beverage of $9. Together this set order costed $13.99.
This is what i ordered for my tea: rose fruity herbal tea. I don't recommend it because it's very fruity (like lemon) and it doesn't have rose smell/flavor at all. I also don't like drinking sour/fruity beverage hot. Try imaging it like hot fruit juice. eww :(

Does UKae recommend you to go there?
Yes, yes! Even though the food or tea is not worth going back to but the atmosphere is totally worth it! Please wear a dress when you go there! It just fits the atmosphere more! and remember not to order fruity HOT tea. Fruity drinks must be cold!

Lastly two pictures of UKae~

What to do with ripe banana?

Often, when i buy a lot of banana and i only eat one everyday, a few would be about to go bad. i hate eating ripe banana so i would just throw them away. That's so a waste!

It was like that a few weeks ago. i had 4 ripe bananas at home and i had absolutely no interest in eating them. Just when i was thinking about what to do with them, an idea pop up!

What to do with ripe banana? Make banana bread!!!

This is the recipe i used:

2 teaspoon - baking powder
1 teaspoon - vanilla
1 1/2 cup - sugar
1 1/2 cup- nut or dry fruit (chopped) (optional)

Product Review: Does Black Oolong Tea 4D Slim work?

Summer was coming and i wanted look better wearing bikini but i'm a suuuuuuuper lazy person so i decided to try Black Oolong Tea 4D slim. I first saw it on Sasa.com and it was $20.40 buy two get one free. I didn't really expect it to work, i just wanted to try what slim tea was like so i bought one box on Ebay for $14.99 (shipping included).

This is what it looks like.

One box has 14 tea bags. Drink twice per day for 3 weeks with a 7-day rest between each treatment. 3 boxes = 1 treatment.

Slim your tummy, thigh, hip, and arms! According to Asian women, the best for tummy is 23" to 24", thigh 15" to 16", Hip 33" to 35", and arm 9" to 10".
Japan's hottest slim drink! It has four functions: detox, drain, diminish fat, and decrease tummy.
Detox: Replenish intestine hydration, promote peristalsis of colon, and improve irregular bowel movement while softening and unplugging waste material.
Drain: Reduce water retention in the tissues and activate micro-circulation to help fight against water retention.
Diminish Fat: Eliminate fat, promote fat combustion, help toning and reduce lipids by enhancing metabolism
Decrease Tummy: Encourage digestion, promote fat removal and maintain a flat stomach.

According to Japan University's research, 4D black oolong tea is 4 times better than regular tea drinks.

Shows effect in just 1 day~! Safe and effective!

This is what it looks like after brewing for 5 mins with boiling water.

Before drinking, let's measure myself first XD

 I was at 98 lbs
 my arm
 my thigh

Progress:

Day 1 & 2:  the first 2 days after drinking this tea, i went to use the toilet at least 4 times each day. the tea actually works in detoxing.

Day 3 to 7: after 2 days of detoxing, it no longer showed any effect. i think it started to drain water from my body.

Result after 7 days:
After 7 days, i was at 100lbs. =.=
 thigh= same =.=
arm = same =.=

Conclusion:
Does black Oolong Tea 4D slim work?
In terms of detoxing, yes it worked! It's hard to tell whether it works or not from just 1 box. if you're gonna to try make sure you buy 1 treatment (3 boxes).

Would Ukae recommend you to try it?
Yes, i definitely recommend you to ONLY try it. Don't depend on it to lose weight.

What does it taste like?
It doesn't taste bad but it's like you wouldn't want to drink it again. So i usually drink it with honey or a little bit of milk.

Does it worth it?
It's worth trying it. The effect won't last long. You have to keep drinking after treatment and treatment. if you do the calculus, it's very expensive and only last for less than 3 months or so.

Try it and that's it. period.

Should you go to Mitsuwa? Is Mitsuwa fun?

On July 4, 2012 my friend Ruby invited me to Mitsuwa. Mitsuwa is located in NJ. This is its address: 595 River Road  Edgewater, NJ 07020.
It usually have free shuttle bus going to Mitsuwa from Port Authority Bus Terminal gate # 51 (Time Square).
However, since that day was July 4, they decided to charge a fee of $3 per person for Mitsuwa shuttle bus. >.<
aka $6 for a round trip. (takes around 20 mins to get there)
What is Mitsuwa? Mitsuwa is basically a Japanese supermarket with a huge food court, a book store, and few other small stores.
This is where people enter the supermarket.
After going around the food court for at least 3 times, i decided to have this. Beef and onion rice and soba. It was only $8.03 for all these.

This was what my friend Ruby had. Deep fried pork cutlet.
Shrimp tempura soba. (don't get this, it tasted very not good)
Cold Udon. (don't suggest getting this either because it was quite expensive and the portion was quite small)
This is the supermarket where they sell lots of Japanese snacks and food.

I wanted to try these but they were too expensive >.<
awww >.< I want them!!! (btw, they are display. FAKE! but they look so real right?)
 I want these too!!!
 and these!!!

I really like how they display fake food instead of just giving you a menu and ask you to read.

got a fish red bean cake XD i didn't like it tho

this is the book store across the supermarket.
so many magazines >.< but how come they only have them in Japanese? T_T
 The entrance of Mitsuwa.
You can play golf there too!!
Mitsuwa is near the sea so you will get to have a nice view~

I went to shopping afterward and here's some pictures:
how come i look so short =.=

Conclusion:
Should you go to Mitsuwa?
if you have never been there before then you should go. other than that, don't do it. it's a waste of time. there's nothing to do. It's okay if only you want to eat some japanese food and shop japanese stuff.

Is Mitsuwa fun?
Nope but the food is good there. definitely should go if you have never been there before. I don't suggest going on holidays since there will be tons of people waiting online to order food and it will be hard to find an empty table to eat.
